Live: 2 December 2026, 12.00-1.00 pm CET
This practice- and experience-based training offers insight into what Multilateral Development Banks look for in tenders and how they approach tender scoring. The course covers evaluation criteria for service contracts across major donors — such as EBRD and the World Bank — and provides practical guidance on where contractors should focus their efforts to score high. The session also addresses partnership strategies, including how to evaluate and choose between Joint Venture (JV) partnerships and subcontracting arrangements, illustrated through concrete, real-world cases.
What you'll gain
- Understand the evaluation criteria and scoring methodology used by MDBs, such as EBRD and World Bank, for service contracts
- Learn where to concentrate your efforts to maximise your score
- Understand the differences between JV partnerships and subcontracting, and how to choose the right option for your bid
- Review concrete, real-world cases and practical examples
Ideal for: consultants preparing bids for MDB-funded service contracts who want to strengthen their scoring strategy and make informed decisions on partnerships and subcontracting.
Duration: 60 mins
Note for participants: Participants are invited to submit questions prior to the session so that the trainer can tailor the discussion and address concrete bidding challenges, including specific issues encountered in past submissions.
